Things were originally going to go through in November but the people scheduling the place did not do so successfully. Last we heard they were thinking of rescheduling in Portland, but communication has been sparse.
OK, lets revisit this mission. this needs to happen. Barry, i think you would get a good turnout in either city. i think there are enough gearheads willing to drive the 3 hrs for something as cool as this. if you pulled the trigger and set a tentative date i bet plenty would sign up....and do it in portland because not only is everything cheaper but portland is just cooler.
Barry: How about a Boot Camp in Wilmington sometime in Jan, Feb. My wife is chomping at the bits to spend some time in that area. Surely we could line up 40 folks to attend. That way you could save bucks by staying Home.
I'm in Seattle, and would be interested in this. I usually shoot SDX900 and am about to do a month long project on the HVX200 (which I ordered today with a FS-100). Something in late mid-to-late February or early March would be good.
We've tried repeatedly to work with users to coordinate with dealers. It starts to happen, everybody's all happy, everybody's friendly, and then for some reason it fizzles out.
It's difficult for us to coordinate this from 3,000 miles away. If someone there wants to find and put us in contact with a dealer who has the space to host 40+ participants, who wants 40+ rabid HVX owners and potential HVX customers in their place for a day, and who will above all actually follow through in hosting it , we'd be glad to do it.
