AG-HVX200 Upgrade Announced By Panasonic

In the December issue of Event DV magazine, Anthony Burokas states, "Meanwhile, Panasonic has already announced an upgrade to the AG-HVX200." But never says what or when this upgrade is. I'm not aware of any such upgrade. Can anyone shed some light on what this upgrade is, where I can find the announcement?

5th paragraph, under "New Models, New Features." I'm just really interested in what the next generation of HVX200 will be.

Further down in the article is some technical info under the "Perks And Perils Of P2" heading, I'm not sure, but I think some of his technical info is not accurate. I'm not sure, though. Anyone confirm the accuracy of this info?

Think they're probably referring to the HPX 500, which has been announced but not as yet in English, as far as I'm aware.

edit: just read the "perils" bit -
sheesh, talk about spin, fud and downright inaccuracies.
"DVCPRO allocates more data to each frame, but HDV uses a much more efficient codec (MPEG-2) ". lol
If more compression is more efficient then I guess they're right ....

Ok, got confirmation, he was refering to the HPX2000, a $27,000 that is an "update" to the HVX200.

I also read that article and comment as well.

No idea what he was referring to.

I also sent two e mails to the editor with no response.
