Well fellas... I am peacin' out and hitting the sack... big day at work tomorrow, and then I am meeting Ted and Mark for dinner in Pasadena! WHOO!

I'll bring along some cool stuff for ya guys! Peace, and hope everything went well! I'll check for updates in the morning!

I'm writing this from the set. We're almost finished with our last scene tonight. The setting is inside the regional FAA office. Everything has gone really well. We'll post some BTS hopefully before hitting bed.

Hay Mark and Ted.

Just seen the first shots on your thread! Have to hand it to you, you're really going for it. This is going to be the short people hit first I think! Keep it up.

Hey thanks Darkline. Really appreciate the kind words.

It's 3:24 a.m. and we've finally got the grip truck loaded. We had a great night and got all the shots we scheduled. One of the best parts of the evening was at 9 p.m. when we had a late dinner on the airport site. I made arrangements for Maniac Mike (who owns and runs Maniac Mike's Airport Cafe) to come in and make everybody a wonderful spaghetti dinner. It was spectacular and made the evening pretty special.

Several times today we stopped and smiled just to think how grateful we are to have the chance to work with this wonderful crew and to shoot this story. This is truly what it all is about and it makes me feel particularly close to all of you on this forum who share the same dream (or madness depending upon your point of view).

Hi, Mark - Wes Stebbins here. I appreciate the opportunity you are making for Kyle. I'll give you a buzz some time tonight or tomorrow.

Wes, I'm honored to have you visit our thread. You are doing the right thing sending Kyle out here. We'll make a man out of him. Sort of like that commercial for the Army I see on t.v. these days:

Wes Stebbins: Son, since you came back from California I noticed you did something you've never done before ...

Kyle Stebbins: (with a laconic gruffness) What's that, Dad?

Wes Stebbins: You put the seat down after you went to the bathroom. What's the deal about that?

Kyle Stebbins: (tersely) Mark Johnson told me I'd get more action with the ladies if I showed my sensitive side.

I have to say Im slightly envious of the relationships you all seem to have over there. Dvxuser seems to have brought a lot of likeminded and talented people together and sitting down to see Horrorfest a few months ago was really exciting. So different to any other film festival beacuse you do feel like you know the people involved. It makes the whole experience much more involving.

Reading what you are all doing on this one has to fire everyone up here..... Here's me thinking I'm pushing the boat out because I may have a shot outside a restaurant....... erm... yeh....

I hope the final product is really good, but thats only half of the objective I guess.

spaghetti from a maniac...... not sure about that one.

Hey Karl! Thanks for the many kind words! Really appreciate it.

And I have to tell you, I do feel like the luckiest guy. I think back to just 3 months ago... I threw my hat in the ring for Horrorfest and didn't know a soul on this site. Now, I have regular conversations with dvxusers around the world and this incredible opportunity to be working with several LA based users.

And not only are these dvxusers talented, skilled and knowledgable... they are so friendly. It is just amazing. There is no need for feeling insecure or anxious because everyone that I have met has been a friend from the beginning. It is as though I have known them for years. And they just keep coming!

I met Tim Hyten (Slimothy) yesterday for the first time and today, he and I were behaving as though we were the best of friends. Today I met Herman the German! What a fantastic guy! (Herman is joining our cast as a featured extra!!!)

I am really overwhelmed with the mutual admiration and respect that every dvxuser I've met shares. Truly, an incredible experience for me.

Karl, I didn't go on like this to make you feel even more "envious." I can understand what you mean because I think that I am the only dvxuser in all of New England. I, too, was feeling envious during Horrorfest as I read about these individual users joining up or helping each other out. And I would STILL be feeling that way if it wasn't for Mark Johnson's invitation to work with him. And even though his offer required 3 visits to the opposite coast (3000 miles away) and many days and night away from my wife (which has been the greatest challenge) it has been worth it. Not only for the invaluable experience of working on this film but for the incredible relationships that have been forming.

So, I say to you... if you find an opportunity like I have found... GO FOR IT!

I hope that you will find the rewards that I have.

-Ted

Well Ted Im glad you are going for it. You're one of the first people that welcomed me on here and when I say envious I guess I should say 'motivated' :-)

I may not have a full crew here, but I do have a couple of very close friends who never fail to help me out with an idea and the circle is growing the more we get our work out there. So Im as excited as you, we dont have a hangar yet but we do have a lot more motivation than we did a year ago.

i have canned spaghetti too! you gotta start somewhere...
