Envision & RebeccaD Present "Where Silence Falls"

Thanks guys, you have no idea how much I appreciate you taking the time to watch it, as well as the valued input to help make it that much more for them.

As far as WHERE SILENCE FALLS & RebeccaD's progress ... just helped her husband today get a little further with their setup, and their pretty much moved in, from the best I can tell.

Hopefully she'll be able to jump in here a little more often, and I looking forward to getting more updates, pics, etc on his thread soon.

Hey Norm, Good luck at the service today. I imagine that you'll be there.

Again, good work on honoring that young man's life. You did well!

Yeah man... get to the movie making!!! :D

Soon, very soon. Ryan's got a table reading scheduled for the week of the 13th (December), so I'll probably try to squeeze something in for WHERE SILENCE FALLS as well.

Then after that we'll certainly try to plan more time for both films to be rehearsed, etc. especially for Reid Phillips, as he's traveling about 90+ minutes one way just to make it up here, so the less we can both make him travel the better.

Thanks Ted. Yes, I'll be in attendence ... getting everything together for it now.

Sorry for the delayed response, Ted. I got PM's from more than one person asking if I was still in the fest or not, because I'd not been posting in the thread much, lol.

Still in it, absolutely .... just trying not to post unless there's some actual update, and well ... there's really none. Should have something in a couple of days though, as we need to start making forward momentum with planning, meetings, etc.

HAHA! I wasn't worried about you dropping out.... I know that it is a busy time with the holidays and all. And that work you did on the memorial video must have kicked your butt a bit.

I was just checking in!

Thanks. Yep, that video actually did take a lot ... I've JUST finally finished the entire DVD menu, content, etc. last night ... didn't want to let it drag out a week, but somehow did.

Okay, a WEE bit of forward movement with the film. :)

Rebecca & I will be getting together tomorrow for some read throughs, as well as for Ryan's film (SEMELE), which we're also both in. We have a table reading for his next Wednesday (as well as ours directly after), but want to be as ahead of the game as possible by that time. Should be interesting to start putting inflection/emotion into the words we wrote!

On another note, Stefan (scharky) will be coming down from Seattle this Saturday to meet & discuss the film indepth from vision, to rough ideas for scheduling, etc. As 1st AD, he'll be in charge of setting the schedule, and I'm also putting him in touch with Dan Ayers, the DP.

REALLY looking forward to being able to meet Stefan & his wife!

Hey norm, that memorial video was really touching. Felt like I knew him after watching it. The one thing that seemed out of place was the fast fowarding of the images. It took me out of the moment because it seemed so abrupt compared to the mood you set. I just watched Bagdad ER the other day and freaking war sucks ass. You don't hear about all the guys getting their asses blown off every damn day. :(

LOL, Jack, that wasn't the intent, but funnier now that I go back & read it with that accent ... thanks for sticking that in my head. :)

Aram, you resounded what a couple others on the board said too about the fast movement, but the majority kind of dug it, so I stuck with it ... it wasn't so much about mood at that point, as to kind of symbolize a build up as life flew by ... then slammed to a halt on his daughter's picture & the title "Father" ... it had the desired effect on the service too. Thanks for the kudos though, much appreciated ... and yeah, war does suck. Sometimes it's necessary, sometimes not, all the time tragic.

I was also deeply moved by that memorial video. I didn't even know the guy and I was crying like a baby.

I cried BOTH times I watched it. Just amazing.

How goes the progess? I hear that there is a steak dinner on the horizon!!!

-Ted

So excited for the steak! Going to have a read through and go over wardrobe for Semele and then do a read through for Where Silence Falls. Should be a fun night. Come eat steak with us Ted!

Rebecca, have you contacted that lady I gave you the phone number for? Rebecca needs to learn a new language & dialect, fast! :)

Reid has someone (female) that has recorded all the lines for both of us and is bringing the tape tomorrow. For ease of schedules, etc. we are checking out her input and going from there after tomorrow night.

Hey all! I just posted a similar post on Ryan's thread but I think that you had a read-though here as well. Right?

I hope that you had a good time! As I stated on Ryan's thread, it was a wonderful experience for me at our first read-through.

I hope that yours was as well. And I hope that the steaks were medium rare! :)
