Getting p2 footage back to p2 cards on MACs

I'm trying to get P2 footage back to P2 cards using a mac. I've read the previous post on this topic, and no one seemed to have a solution.

I've tried dragging and dropping, I've tried copying and pasting, and I've also unlocked the p2 files on my desktop, and none of this works.

Does anyone have a solution to this ? Has anyone succesfully managed to get footage back from backup to the p2 card on a mac?

I'm using a macbook pro, so perhaps this is an intel-mac specific issue?

I have done it with a pc laptop and my G5 desktop was pretty simple just dragged and dropped.
Saved my ass a few times I can tell you, whats the problem your getting is it just not copying to the card, what does it say ?

Make sure you have the latest P2 drivers, the older one I had that came with my card didn't work, once I updated... bam it worked great.

Exactly what are you trying to do?

Export a sequence out of FCP? Or with the p2 card mounted on the desktop, copying that contents to the card?

Is it possible to export an edited sequence from FCP and put it back to a P2 card to be played through the camera on an hd monitor?

Fantastic. I just got my HVX, but it's just sitting in the box because I'm waiting for my free P2 card, so I haven't really been able to experiment thus far.

I'm trying to get the footage back onto the p2 card so I can view it on an external monitor after we shoot. I'm shooting with just 1 p2 card, so when we run out of space we backup to the macbook pro and continue shooting.

At the end of the day it would be nice to be able to look at the rushes on a nice big monitor, but much of the footage is on the laptop and I want to be able to get it back to camera so I can play it out to the monitor.

Unless you use p2 Log to view it on the laptop, it has to be printed back to the card in FCP, which is tedious because you have only one card.
