footage: failed prior posting of tele test

very nice! nice colors!
about settings, is everything at the maximum to handle the highlights? i ordered the a1 but i'm a little bit afraid that it doesn't handle the highlights as beautifully as my dvx100.

hey thanks, I like my A1 very much, with highlights, the canon does very well. but with this footage, it was very dim, wit only natural light coming from the window... I tried as much I can to get exspousre. which i think came out great. theres are my settings

-3db gain
cine 2
color matrix cine 2
knee - ?
black- pressed
setup= -4
nr 1- off
nr-2 off
and pushed color gain by 5
when i get home i will recheck

The clip is working, the colors look great. You could probably shorten the clip a lot because it's the same basic shot, save on bandwidth. I'm very impressed with this camera. Were the colors adjusted at all in post or is this straight from the A1?

Thanks for posting phally. I have found black - m gives best result. Depending on what your shooting you should definetely adjust the knee setting.

The colors were beautiful.

In this clip there is some overexposure. Nothing can compensate for that on any cam.

thanks, the color were from the camera with my settings, there were no CC to the file, basically this test was to see how the image will be in telephoto.

of course, but some cams are doing some nicer transitions than others

I dont understand that at all. For example I just watched CSI Las Vegas - not a fan but the wife is and it was on. There were deliberate blowouts from light sources, the looked exactly the same. Now I am going to assume CSI is shot on film?
