Anyone Feel Left Out of 8GB Card?

I feel your Pain Ned. Sorry to hear that.
And thanks for the advice. I think you are right about where to spend the energy. :)

I missed it by 3 days (Sept 28 purchase). No response from Panasonic about a "grandfathering" for even 3 days. I got over it and moved on. Better to expend the energy on making money, art or both. And I find a good single malt Scotch is a lot better cathartic than internet rants.

Can't we at least lament??

BTW, Ned -- one winter the wife and I tried every single malt scotch we could find.

After all of that, we went back to Johnnie Walker Red. Just liked it better than all the mor expensive smoky brands.

I don't mean to start an argument here, but you actually missed it by about 40 days since the official announcement was on about 11/7. And they did "grandfather" it well back, just 3 days shy of *your* purchase date. To characterize them as being unwilling to "grandfather it for 3 days" is a bit unfair.

There had to be some retroactive cutoff point, and no matter what that was - a month, 3 months, 6 months...someone would feel bad because they just missed it.

Sorry about the bad roll of the dice...

Of course, Ted. You are absolutely right. That's why I said that's just the way it is. No blaming of Panasonic-- just a note to those folks who would prefer to rant than just go about business.

I dont feel left out. My camera was paid off the first couple gigs I did. BECAUSE I HAD THE CAMERA. since June, it has been ALL PROFIT, thousand and thousands of dollars of profit. I find that people who make money off of their camera dont care if price drops or people get free stuff 8 months later. If it were not for the camera I would not have paid off the camera and am would not be getting ready to buy a Lotus Elise for my wife. And hopefully in 3 years, pay that off as well. I prefer to spend money to make money.
