Selling Canadian HVX200 & DVX100A

Planning on selling my DVX100A and one of my HVX200's. Looking for suggestions as to what kind of price I should ask. Would like to list on ebay in a few days unless there is interest here. Both cameras were bought at authorized panasonic dealers in Canada.

My DVX100a has been babied (used on 2 feature docs and several commercials). Always in protective case. Has had UV filter from day 1. I regularly get it serviced at Panasonic (just came back from a complete check-up and serviceman said it looked like band new). I have only run Panasonic PQ tapes through it and it has 181 hours on the heads. Comes in original box and original accessories.

The HVX200 I just bought 2 weeks ago for a 6 part kids series that was shot in 8 days (I actually bought 2 but only keeping 1). Bought the camera off a friend who used it for 2 months before me. UV filter, case, babied as well. Camera is in amazing condition. Works flawlessly.

Located in Toronto. Any thoughts or suggestions are appreciated. Also, if you are interested in either, PM me for before I do the ebay thing.

Cheers,
Dale

Try dvshop's trading post. You can find a link to it on dvshop.ca. It's a place for Canadian (mostly Torontonian) filmmakers to trade/sell gear.

As for an asking price for your cameras, I would think $2500 Canadian for the dvx100a would be fair. For the HVX you could get a lot more. I just bought one today (can't wait for it to arrive!!) for $3900 US including 2 4gb P2 cards.

PM me if you want any more advice.

I'm also interested in your HVX - what's the current warranty status (I.e. can it be transfered to a 3rd owner?) - What's your asking price?

Just wanted everyone to know that the HVX has been sold. Thank you for all the great interest. Appreciate it.

Much interest in the DVX as well, but it's still available.

Cheers

Dale is a good guy, sold him a cartoni and miller tripod. Quick and Instant Payment. I wont hesitate to do business with him again.

Hey, DXMETAL!

Thanks for the kind words - the same can be said for dxmetal (John).

Love the Miller Cartoni combo - smooth moves, sets up from high angle and right down to the ground in seconds. You're a good man and I do appreciate it.

Cheers,
Dale
