HVX200 -> Direct Capture to PC via Composite?

Has anyone else done this? I just did it at home. Yellow wire Composite, not even component.

I think I'm, seeing things, but it looks a lot less noisier when I skip the p2/DVCproHD and capture into Windows Movie Maker as a test.

I'll post a few stills in a second and even a comparison between DVCproHD and the Composite in stretched back to 16:9.
 
It is possible for the analog Composite signal to be less noisy than DVCProHD simply because it is of much lower resolution -- the noise (or fine detail) get filtered out during the downsampling.

To get cleaner P2 recordings, try the DETAIL CORING function. Now register the camera and apply for Barry's book!

I'm buying Barry's Book from another member, though. So that'll help!
