Hello guys,

i have a new film with this combo:

- HVX200E
- SGpro r.2
- Zeiss 50mm f1.4, 85mm f1.4
- some extension tubes

In this film, human's face is contained due to demand :)
As for my average aperture setting was about f5.6 and widest aperture in the whole clip was no more then F2.8.
SGpro r.2 behaves just great in the light.

Film is here:

I'm going to post some uncc'ed full frame grabs in 10 mins too.

Full frame uncc'ed grabs:

I would love your feedback!

Thank you,

Ah, man. sharp sharp sharp! What shutter did you use for the 50fps footage, 1/60 or 1/120? Waiting for my sgpro r2 to arrive and I'm considering
getting some zeiss lenses as well, how do you like em?

Love the images!

Yeah, I love how edge to edge sharp the SgPro Rev2. is (will order one very soon). The footage was nice too - maybe too much smoking for my taste :D

Gosh- just keep doing it. Make me want it so bad; hold it right in front of my face. It's killing me.

Not that I could get half the quality stuff that you do, but damn that looked good. I think as standalone films/cuts I liked "blue" better, but that's certainly some good looking footage.

Thanks,

JC

Can't wait. You'd better bring it all to the table. :)

Hey Theodoros.

Nice clip, very contrasty. You mention that the Zeiss were open 2.8 - 5.6, what was the HVX aperture set at?

Thanks. Pete.

Thanks a lot guys for your kind words!

- There are many different oppinions about the Zeiss ZF lenses. Personally i'm in love :)

- HVX aperture was set to automatic in this clip. I have trusted my HVX :)

Thanks to all once again for your kind words!

man! I think this is better than the M2 or any other crap out there. The edges are so clean and I just like the way it looks. With some pro CC you can fool the eye and make it look like film, I did and it feels great!

looks really sweet. That cigarette ash is just KILLER.... are you shooting in 1080 or 720?

Keep 'em coming bro. Like your stuff a lot. Really a nice combo.. Who makes the adapter? Does it have other optional accessories?

SgPRO gives the most performacne forthe Dollar. with the Brevis being a close second, but it costs more because yo uhave to buy Support rods seperatly.

Also the SGPro will soon have the most inexpensive, PL mount ever. So yo ucan rent Zeiss/Cooke primes and a mattebox/followfocus for your shoots.

gotta hand it to this adapter - the thing is sharp. very impressed. hope you guys don't mind (wayne) but I was just muckin about with your stills in after effects jjust to look at sharpness etc and did a little CC. It's sharp as a tack with very little chrom ab. Well done to the guys at SGPro -

as a sharpness nazi, i'm very impressed. Hope this thing isn't too big - lemmie know if it is and i'll reduce.
