What is my HVX worth... for selling?

That porta brace case and rain slicker are also worth $300 and $200US respectivly. It's a nice one, you can buy a hard case for that much.

Since this has less than 6 days use its essentially new.

Anyone trying to lowball him because technically its "used" is a shiester and I hope they buy a cheaper camera and it turns out to be a grey market rental thats been trashed and dies half way into their first of shoot. Anyone smart and not a chisler would pay him close to full retail for it and be thankful they got a free bunch of accessories.
 
wow arson, you sound pretty invested. schiester? lowball? wishing bad cameras on someone else? i don't think anyone was trying to steal the camera... just providing opinions, of which there are many when it comes to 'used' pieces of equipment - which 'essentially new' or not is exactly what this is.

that said, you should be able to find a decent price for the package tom, but will likely have to take somewhat of a hit in the short term given the current promotion with 8 gig cards. having 2 certainly works in your favor in terms of enticing someone to buy your model rather than one from a retailer.
 
Best of luck selling it Tom. I don't see the numbers people throwing around here crazy low. Arson seems like he may of been stung before by loss of money on some equipment? It's a total bonus that your gear is in such good shape and you will get a little more for that reason but I have never seen prices go up over time or companys put out worse deals then previous ones. If you wait you will just get less money later. All this being said I have a Red one on order and I am crossing my fingers that it becomes so popular that it goes up in value for the short term anyway.

By the way where do you live? I may need to pick up an HVX to get me through before I get the Red. If you are close I may consider it as I would never buy used electronics sight unseen.
 
If the P2 rebate wasn't going on right now, I'd take you up on that offer.

I just bought an HVX200 for $4925 + (1) 8GB P2 card for $1105 w/ free shipping -- including all rebates for cd+book & free 8GB P2 card. So for about $6k, I've got a new camera setup.
 
A bunch of us bought at full price earlier this year. Did we get screwed too?

Don't know of anything that doesn't have a downside after you purchase it.

The 50 inch plasma we purchased two years ago for $6K, we now can get for $3K.

Doesn't mean we got screwed.
