I have a Firestore FS-4 40GB model for sale. It's new in the box - I used in March to test it out, but never recorded any footage with it since then. Had a broken fw port on my dvx and never got fixed. It's in the box - charger, 2 batteries, manual, etc...

plus i have the field kit with it, but i can't find the hot shoe adapter that attaches to the cradle. So I have the cradle and have contacted Focus to see if they'll send a replacement. Will update when they contact me back.

$500 for all.

thanks -

anthony

They are very reliable - the biggest issue is the firewire cable coming out of the camera port. I would recommend using angled firewire adapters so the cord doesn't protrude from the cam as much. Then some velcro straps available at audio stores to secure the cable to different points on the camera. I use the FS-100 (same device for HVX200) with the right angle cable and various clips and am very happy.
Do some searches on here for the FS-4 to read other user's experiences.
There is also a thread about putting a bigger hard drive in the FS-4 if you need 80-100GB. Here's the link: http://www.dvinfo.net/conf/showthread.php?t=47109&page=3
