I have been looking at the distances from subject when using specific lenses whilst trying to get a deeper DOF.
It is becoming clear that a nice wide 14mm red prime (if they would make one) would be a great lens to use for a variety of situations including underwater. It would also be a good lens to practice on with getting the focussing issues of a s35mm format without being too difficult compared to most other lenses.
Could anyone reccommend a 9.5mm s16mm prime lens at reasonable cost. I noticed a few zeiss 9.5mm at or around the $1,000 mark but they were sold. What can you expect to get in the s16mm range for that kind of price. The 35mm cine lenses at 14mm are pretty expensive (for me anyway). Thanks guys this learning curve sure aint easy.
