Buy an HVX -- get a FREE 8Gb P2

Cool. So when is there going to be an official panny site where we can apply for it? I still am only seeing the one tat offers 2 free cards for two other cameras.

Yeah I wasn't gonna sign up beacause I already have Barry's book, now I'm nervous about signing up before there is something about this up when/where I register my cam.
 
Yeah. I registered my cams the other night with panny, but I didn't apply for the free books yet, since I have one, and I just want to be sure about this deal.... "If you got Barry's book as a rebate, you are not entitled to this rebate" Yeah. That would suck.

Everything seems to be pointing in the direction that this is going to be up. Except for the fact that panny is running a similar deal with other cam's on their site now, and not this. You would think that a Jan or somebody might have confirmed or denied this thread by now.
Ah, well. I shall continue to wait patiently, and hope, hope, hope that this is for real. Having 4 8 gig cards would really put me in pretty nice shape for a little while, for what I need to do

All kidding aside, it may be the reason why there has been a delay in getting the offer up. Why else would it take so long? The rebate page has been down for a majority of the day. (Server 500 Error) Here's to crossing fingers and toes. :)

It says for those who buy before the 31st...... I count!!! It doesnt have a begining date! There is hope! just a .000001% chance.
Techn. I bought mine at the end of summer and that my friend is before the 31st. ;)

I bought mine in March. That, too, is before 12/31. :)

I also noticed that Jan never chimed in on any of these rebate threads to validate the rebate. (Of course, unless I missed it.) Hmmmmmm.

The rebate is retro to 10/1 and out to 12/31.

I have not chimed in as I am dealing with the fact that my husband has been in the hospital on and off for the last month and a half and I have been there from about 7 in the morning till 10 at night. I am working on about 2 cylinders out of 8, if you know what I mean.

Sheesh Jan. I hope he is OK.

Good deal from Panasonic in the US. The US market seems to have these occurances and no where else in the world. Im am wondering why. Dont get me started on Sony who routinely have deals here in Japan. SONY FX1 - can get one new for about $2k USD now in Tokyo. Panasonic never has deals in Tokyo. If you live here the local warranties are great. But inherently Panasonic here competes week against sony so the prices are always much cheaper than the US to start with.

Jan - I hope you didn't take any offense to my post. I appreciate what you're going through right now.

I was just (attempting) having a little fun with some of the folks that are fortunate enough to have waited to purchase their HVX and, in turn, getting a great deal with Panasonic's new special offer.

I hope your husband's health improves and you can get some solid rest.
