First REDCODE image!

Seriously though, considering RED is designed to be futureproof, I imagine the codec will mature over time to allow for different compression schemes for faster computers. Possibly somewhere inbetween REDCODE RAW and Uncompressed?

That's why I'm hoping that the REDflash drives can support really high data rates. P2 cards can sustain 640mbps. I hope the REDflash can deliver similarly.

I've also been hoping for a while that even when the camera is overcranked the individual images stay at about 1MB and dont get compressed any further.

I don't know if this is news or not, but the gallery was updated again. There's a new 4K JPG that was originally a REDCODE RAW [2.5mb] frame... not the usual 4K RAW source that we've seen in the past.

Thanks. Though the girls are starting to look a little cheesed. It must be getting towards the end of a long shoot.
