But did anyone feel nervous about it actually being sent to the right fax number? LOL. I hope my friend typed in the right number. I'm just waiting to hear back from the RED team, I'm not so worried about my $1000 being wisked away, but more for the fact that I want my reservation!

I hope they get back to me fast! This will be a wild ride, but I'm excited to see how it plays out.

Congrats on taking the leap Justin! I'm sure RED is swamped with last minute paperwork as the reservation deadline approaches. Check on the fax receipt to make sure it went to the right number. If it did, don't worry, it usually takes about a week or so to hear back from them with a confirmation.
 
I sent mine in a couple of weeks ago and I've yet to recieve my little "R" though. How long does that usually take?
 
Jarred said they (I believe) were in the process of being shipped back from from IBC. It's in the threads...

Oh, I am waiting also... But no worries, I am more worried about getting a reservation on the RED zoom off this weekend.

It seems like the lenses are probably solidly fixed in their price while the body could potentially go way up in price. So wouldn't it make more sense to use your reservation money to put in a reservation for two bodies and worry about the lens purchases later? Then you could resell the extra body at a profit and use that money to help with the lens purchases. Just speculation of course, what do other people think?
 
I think it's best for me to lock down the zoom, that lens is going to very popular to a wide range of filmmakers (aatons,arri.. any pl mount camera user).

I do see your point though... hmmm....
 
Well, even though my gut is now flip-flopping all over the place I went and took my own advice and canceled my lens reservations and set myself up with a second body reservation.
 
They have started shipping the titanium Rs again, I got mine two days ago... and boy did my wife laugh at my childish enthusiasm over the little R...

Yah, i just wanted to get my reservation in on the body...i wouldn't mind about the lenses right now, because i'll rent some Cooke's when the time comes. i just hope it went through, do you guys think i should send it again just in case?
