Nikon's DX lenses cover a 23.7 x 15.7[SIZE=-1] frame size. Since the R1 has a frame size of 24.4 x 13.7, it seems plausible to use a Nikon DX lens to get extremely wide-angle shots without the crop factor (horizontally at least). Conveniently, the active area of the RedOne sensor is about 22.5mm wide, which means the DX lenses will cast a picture over the entire active portion of the sensor. Does this sound right to everyone else?
On a side note, I found this site to be a good read and was wondering if the Red team is utilizing the concept of variably offset microlenses to improve their chip's performance? http://www.digitalsecrets.net/secrets/FullFrameWars.html
