The Uninvited teaser - indie feature film

cool.

just watched it, really neat.

You open to some constructive criticism?

Honestly, the quality of the CG really downgrades your video. The composition of the dvx shots with the lighting really overpowers the quality of the 3D. (definate props on the dvx shots, look great )

there was too much enphasis on the 3D text and overture of the video, too little of the actual trailer was seen in comparison to the showcase of th eeffects which made it drag a slight bit.

But other than that, i dig, cant wait to see more!

this is DEFINATELY a well made trailer. The only problem is that even though the cg elements looks very well crafted, and your title sequences were terrific, it just seems, I don't know... almost cheesy. Either way, it's still well done, especially the video inside of the side scrolling title.

I guess this type of film really isn't my cup of tea, but it still deserves a lot of credit. Looks like some people worked very hard here.

I agree.

Thanks guys - I appreciate all the feedback. I don't have much footage to work with at the moment to get a true teaser out there, so this is the approach I took with it and incorporated the graphics. I'm still not sure how I feel about the CG overall - it's more filler at this point until I have more in the can. I've done all the filming, CG and graphic work myself to keep the budget down.

It's all just seeing what works, but I am very happy with the DVX footage in the woods and really looking forward to seeing what I get out of the camera.

awsome greg.

well your deifnatley doing a great job.

if you really dont have enough footage, try shortening the trailer a bit. It will make it shorter and sweeter.

I wonder also if you could add a bit more dirt to the CG designs, as most of your footage is very darkly lit in the forst, it would help the feeling and environment if your CG complimented the feeling of the film in terms of its look.

interesting...good for a website or intro, but not a teaser...wait that's if i was watching the right thing. had to do a little clicking and site navigation, but what i saw was interesting indeed.

Didn't look like a trailer or teaser at all. More like website intro or something similar.

Who did your website? Is it a template?

Thanks for checking out the teaser. I really appreciate all the feedback. Apologies for not responding quicker - been sick with a wicked cold/flu.

I'm trying to keep the budget down, so I'm shooting/editing/AE work and designing the website - nope, not a template - it's a design that evolves as I go. I've stuck with Newtek's Lightwave over the years for the 3D work in both the teaser and the website.

Thanks again for checking it out!!!
