Seriously... the next fest?

i feel like i'm way out of my league here .. i got waaaay less experience than any of you guys when it comes to just about every aspect of film making, but i really would love to give a go at a fest type entry .. if anything, just to gain experience.. and maybe it's the inexperience talking but i'd love to do some comedy :)

hey fiddler, i've only participated in one fest, but it was indeed a great experience! i would HIGHLY recommend it!!! what do you shoot with dvx or hvx?

That's the spirit man! Biggest thing is get out there and do something and get some feedback.

I'd only done a 72 hour film fest and had my camera only a month when I entered my first DVXuser Fest last October.

And lots of guys have some kind of experience here, but being technically savvy does not necessiarily a good filmmaker make.

I'm shooting w/ a DVX .. and so far i've done only silent type movies (but they WERE funny.. so hence my vote for comedy)

so that could mean Suspense/Thriller/DRAMA as long as it has a good story and lots of emotions correct?
