HVX BootCamp DVD Vol. 1 is AVAILABLE!

JUST pulled mine out of the mailbox. For what it's worth, I'm in Michigan and this was postmarked the 11th. Seeing as it's been in my posession for less than 2 minutes, all I can comment on is the packaging. Looks nice. I'll be popping it in soon and will post a review this week.

Can somebody just burn me a copy for $10 bucks. JK, I just ordered. The book has done wonders so I'm sure this will be perfect.

Ripping a piece of work like this DVD is not like ripping some songs from a friend's cd. A lot of hard work has gone into it. The fact is Barry, Jarred and the rest of the DVXuser crew have helped hundreds for free with their time and knowledge. If I can help them out a little with my $65 I'm happy to do it.

It's a shame to even mention "burn me a copy" as a joke.

What if you attended one of the Boot camps in person? (Las Vegas'06)

Is there a "special" for Boot camp alumni?

Thanks

i just bought volume 1! when is volume 2 coming out? a low down on how all the P2 technology works with different workflows and NLE's would be awesome on the next dvd. I nearly pulled all my hair out trying to figure out how to dump p2 footage to a AJ-HD1200A deck with FCP on a macbookpro. Info like that will definitely be helpful.

With help from Focus, I'm about to release a tutorial video going from the HVX-200 to the FS-100 to FCP 5.1.2. It's actually going to be part of the FCP tutorial library I'm about to release. When it's done, you all will know.

Looking forward to that!

You are going to use that supreme lawn mowing footage for your exercises, right? ;)

Looking forward to it, Ben.

My DVD hasn't arrived yet, but I'll comment on the Barry's book. It is an indispensable tool, and fits nicely in any bag or case. As the "ad" says: "The DVD set also makes an excellent companion to The HVX Book, supplementing its information by giving you hands-on live instruction." :)

The DVD is excellent for users of all levels, beginner to advanced. It covers every menu item and every button and switch. It also covers in-camera P2 functions -- clip management, MCR menus, meta data, etc..

Not trying to change the channel on you guys here, but are there any plans for a DVX tutorial DVD ?

I already sent back the book and dvd on the DVX, and expect the book and DVD on the HVX. Any idea on when am I going to get it??

The DVX book/DVD and HVX book are produced through a different company from the HVX DVD. Can you PM me and let me know who you contacted about this?
