Jeremy Hyler, Matthew B. Moore and Cory Doggett " PROJECT: UNTITLED"

Still love the Cheese Grater! :)
Also have been thinking since I watched it about your use of colour. Man that's a style of your own.

Hey spidey, though this was not my kind of film, you did an OUTSTANDING job with it!

Just finally getting the time to copy the notes I compiled in a Word doc while watching the shorts:

Just didn’t really get into this one. I really didn’t like the VO over the first major portion of the film, and perhaps I stereo type too much, but the voice didn’t match the person/character I was seeing. Seemed to have a flavor of “Wrong Turn”, if that’s the name of the film where these teens take a wrong turn in banjo playing country & come across these cannibal backwoods folks. Just seemed like more of a showcase for violence & VFX/makeup than story, as far as I was concerned. Some great editing & camera work of course, but those were by far the things that carried this for me.

so basically to sum up what you already said, you didnt like it and the voice doesnt fit... huh.... good advice? thanks.. ill review yours next.

thanks to everyone who enjoyed my movie. I might make another dvx user fim but this is last for me I think, I'm 21 and I got better things to look foward too.

I agree with Spidey. I don't know that I'll do the next fest unless it lines up with a movie I want to make anyway. I only did this one because I had that idea and this was an excuse to go ahead and do it.

Just so long as folks aren't moving on from the school of thought of "that guy's too good & should move on". I dig having folks like you, Spidey, Jack, etc. in this fest ... I don't care if the bar's set so high that I'll never win ... it pushes me to make myself work that much harder (with the exception of REM, which was last minute in SO many ways).

Anyway, it'd be a dud to see the creme of the crop move on from the fest, unless it's simply a time matter because of bigger project, for which I'd then be applauding that reason.

*post from R.E.M. thread* so now i can just start reviewing since the contest is over.

This movie had no value really over all. The lead didn't fit just cause she has a rack I didnt see her fit the mold to well of a woman who is deprived of sleep or having nightmares. on person said, It was like nightmare on elm st without the nightmare. I concur. Did you do this movie in a last min effort? If so it shows.

Thereason for this railing review is you sent me 2 reviews already one indepth then one just to be a quick insult to devalue things. PLus anohter things say the leads voice doesnt fit come on grow up. people dont have to sound asian to be asian. if you went back to my thread and look people thing you said the most retarded thing on the face of the planet. (also it doent look good saying that, what more do you want from her? should she be dressed like a geisha for you to be like ok she fits?)

simply put, I didnt like your movie, why? well it lacked heavily on interest. nice shots and all, too blue at times, but pretty much "woooo its a dream... are you scared? feeling."

theres my 2 cents.

Um, wow? Spidey, I did NOT mean to offend you, and my apparent 2nd post was not to be a quick insult or to try & devalue things. Before you throw out those accusations, try PM'ing me about it? I can gladly edit or delete a post that came across wrong ... or publicly apologize like I am now. I'm sorry.

I honestly hadn't gone back to read your thread to see what folks had said in my response, and I knew in saying it that it may come across wrong ... so I tried to clarify up front. It's just an opinion, and I was kind of voicing what was going on in my head as I was watching it. To me, the voice didn't match what I saw ... should I be crucified for saying it?

And I certainly didn't mean to double post in your thread just to take a whack at you, which appears to me how you felt. If you notice ALL of my posts/reviews yesterday had the same exact opening line ... that I was basically dumping into the post what I'd compliled in my Word .doc ... I was trying to do a good thing by getting as many comments out there as I could in all the threads, and simply copied & pasted from the document to each thread as I went down the list in alphabetical order, or the order I viewed them in.

That's it. Will you accept my apology? Would you like me to go back and edit or delete anything from your thread? Let me know, as it's not a problem.

I would ask, however, that before you try & blast me for some retaliation, that you perhaps PM me first to clear it up. Then, if I come back with a "screw you, my opinion stands, etc.", by all means, let me have it. But I think your obvious attack (as you so clearly stated on WHY you were railing me), was a bit uncalled for, to put it mildly. Especially since we have PM's at our disposal to keep the threads clear of unprofessional communications.

...Well, what the hell is wrong with an Asian woman who sounds like an American?

America is a melting-pot and there are plenty of Asian people who have assimilated well with Western culture...so that they don't all have Asian accents.

Kim is not a first-generation Korean American....She doesn't speak in Chinkglish (a slang term, and not meant to be offensive to the Asian race in any way) and she deserves to be seen with a wider scope!

The only way to start combatting stereotypes is to start seeing things in a different light...
