1k Bubble Girl video up

Very impressive guys

To me it looks like a smooth digital image, with the richness of Super16 or 35. It's as if I had personally asked RED to replicate my personal aesthetic color and image characteristics in a non-film camera. Even in these ideal testing conditions, I'm well chuffed.

Personally any terms like 'video' and 'cgi' with this footage, seems akin to smokin' ganja, for me, IMHO.

Love what I have seen so far.

Now get that lovely ting outside and shoot some deep DOF and wide vistas. Then, I can silence the few peeps who called me nuts for this investment, leave 'em gobsmacked, and actually go do something productive, instead of waiting around on this board for every development

Seriously, RED is addictive. The line for the RED support group starts over here --->...I'll be right there after the next update, I swear.

it was my computer motion looks good now. I might just have to round up some pennies and reserve one. How many cameras have been preordered if anyone knows?

ha ha thanks egproductions.. dont worry you can give them my email and tell them i forced you too host it :)

Are we talking about the gum?

I'm really ready to see something different from the high-key foreground subject (e.g., girl, watch, glasses) against a black background. It says very little about Mysterium to continually do this hyper-contrasty type of footage.

You've got this 4k thing with untold stops of latitude and I simply cannot believe that a properly lit set cannot be created at your development facility as RED is made ready for portable usability elsewhere.

What does this footage tell me? Nothing. I can achieve equally beautiful skin tones in my HVX or the CineAlta F900, and with such a flat high-key, it is difficult to ascertain what is going on in the underexposed mids.

Little if anything can be taken away from a bit torrent .mov file on the subject of cadence (24 frame RED versus 24 frame HD), so I won't conclude anything further than that on the subject of jumpy looking footage.

On blue screen, I'd recommend that you contact Jon Erland, ASC. I believe that he is still in Los Angeles. He's an amazing gear-head if you don't know him and I am certain that he'd be interested to put his exceedingly capable hands on RED. For that matter, you would do well to have the Clairemont boys or Tak help put something substantive together.

I don't want to cast doubt on or take anything away from what you've done - not in the least. It is truly amazing and groundbreaking - up to the point where you guys turn the thing on and shoot footage with it. Let's get something up that shows what this lump can really do.

I believe the footage you've exhibited so far patently underemphasizes what RED is capable of.

I think it's around 700 now.

I can see why (potentially) people order two - especially in a limited partnership. When is the 31st again  ?

Why would they post good exemplary footage before they even have the sensor properly characterized? I'm not saying that I'm not dying to see good outdoor footage as well, but since they are still working on color matrixing (and everything else, for that matter), I would imagine that they would want to wait to post anything that has a lot of colors in it so that we don't come away crying because the pinks look orangish.

That being said, I too am dying to see some vibrant outdoor sweetness. Big thanks to the RED team for allowing us to see any footage at all!

where's your post haakon?.. did it escape? :Drogar-BigGrin(DBG) these boards are the best.. real entertainment..

I'm gonna hold off on posting the movie [lots of mirrors available already]. I'll post the green screen TIFF instead [in the appropriate thread].

If this is the worst news of your life, I'll host both. But I don't want to blow out my bandwidth again.
