Here is the 1st min or so of the last film I did. It's a horror flick. Nothing spectacular, just a movie that hopefully should give the creeps to some folks.

Tears-opening

Details:

Camera: DVX100 PAL
No special 35mm adapter was used and no ghost was harmed in the making.
It will release in Asia first, not sure when it will hit the states. It's completely off my hands at this point. I've moved on.

It held my attention. Now, when you see the full shot of the girl hanging is that a dummy or a girl in a harness?

That was a real. She was wearing a harness. The actress was a good sport because that harness hurt like hell. I tried it before I had my actress put it on.

Ok, that ROCKED! Seriously cool.
Very well done all around, and especially the audio was spot on!
I love that font-back video thingy effect you did at 1:08 too, very cool.

One problem: The "it was just a dream" totally wrecked the clip. Just by chance the first time I watched it the buffering froze it at the last wide shot after the hand reaches and it looked REALLY good. I watched it again so I got to see the end and unfortunatly it spoiled the whole effect.

Wow. Good stuff. I jumped like a little girl.... well much more than that little girl did. Anyhow, outstanding!

Have the producers seen "The Grudge" or "The Ring" by any chance?

I was thinking the exact same thing. It's good, though, no matter what it resembles.

Ramjet (jason). That's hilarious.

Nice to see Samara is getting some independent work :)

Seriously dude, I hate to be critical but the sped up effects and even the sound effects and the look of the actress are almost exact replicas of the Ring. Why go to such lengths to emulate what's been done. It's just far too similar for it to be a coincidence.

The look was cool and, without the Ring stuff, it could still work.

I thought it was Ring 3 but then I thought the Producers would never is a dvx100 :)

I really liked it though ...

One thing you guys have to understand that when movies are for foreign markets....the people over there don't care....they watch it.....

A lot of movies that are made here are copied in various ways around the world in countries like India (especially India)...Asia....Europe... etc....and people there don't give **** ....they like the movie in their setting with their language...

Dude you were somewhat right about the movie being copied in various ways

around the world in countries like India and so forth!!

However, you should know that the other way around are also true...

I am feeling tired of mentioning too many reference... just name you one

" Akira Kurasawa " a legendery director.... just search some info..

Thanks everyone for checking the clip out. It's not the first time nor the last I will hear people go...hey it looks like the Ring, etc. First off, I knew getting into the project that it had similarities to the Ring....that's what the executives want. In Asia, this film will make MONEY regardless of its similarities. This is what sells and I was hired to make this film for that market. Did I like it? No, but it was FUN and I met alot of great people. How often can we say I had a movie play in Theatres all over Asia.... Plus I didn't care, I didn't write the script. I took on the project because it was FUN! :)

Thanks to those who actually enjoyed it or was even scared by it.

ps: Only two scenes had the "Ring" Resemblance. This one and another scene. Other than that its an entirely different movie.

Peace!
