nice Tupperware throwing scene! Damn those poltergeists.

Hey, next time I'd recommend watching your sound levels a bit. You're crunching into distortion with some of those screams and peaks in the sound track.

My hats off to you for your marketing.

Yeah some classic poltergeist stuff there. Good work except some major continuity flows. I think MM leaved up to his hype!

I laughed, I cried, I pee'd my pants! Thank you, MM, for entertaining me for six minutes! Good stuff.

Ok, I just saw The Awakening....and here's my review.

I think that you had a nice idea first of all, typical and somewhat of a stereotype but still, for a horrorfest it was a nice idea.

To be honest, towards the end, it was kinda disturbing, not because the 'devil' and the score made the atmosphere scary, but because I felt it was deranged to portray the devil in the movie. I'm not into religion and such but i never took your word on putting the devil in the movie, guess you proved me wrong there.

The girls were not that good. I know about bad actors, or to be fair, about people who cant act, I am one of them. But when you plan on putting people to run around, act scared and deliver some lines that are meant to express fear, then you should work harder on getting the right stuff. For example, when the plates are thrown to the girls in the kitchen (which was funnier than you might think), the younger one fixes her hair for a while, which is reasonable for a young girl to do but not for an actress. And it's not the age that bothers, but at this age they dont know how to act even if they cant act (dont know if you get my meaning).

The editing was unbalanced. Sometimes it was ok, some scenes though were badly brought together. You could also have gone for better lighting. Since I am a no lights guy, I try to mess around with filters in post. So I guess you could try that some other time. The image in general was too flat. It was too raw for my taste and that is why people said about your grabs that they did the DVX100 look like a Hi-8.

I liked the fact that you got smoke...it's one of my favourite things to put in a movie...but all in all I think that you wanted to make a movie about HorrorFest and you did one but that was all. It seemed to me that you just pointed and shot and then put the scenes together and that was it. There was no soul in this movie and this sounds weird for THIS movie.

I believe that if you are so crazed with film making then you will definitely get it together soon but you need to do very basic stuff the next time. The Awakening was for me a home made video that 5 kids would make in their spare time with their dad's camera. I'm not trying to put you down, I'm just trying to show you what it looks like.

I wish you keep on showing the same craziness and make more movies!
