"Sparrow" on DVD - OFFICIAL THREAD - <DVD AVAILABLE>

Got the DVD, and it's awesome, man.

I liked the story, creative, with good twists.

The locations were really cool, like the manor and the alley. The stuff in the rain was nice. It's great that you got all those spaces to shoot in, really made it that much better.

Pretty good actors too... And acresses.

DVD itself: love the artwork, and the printing on the disc is totally pro. The menus were cool, too.

BTS: looked as good as any special features I'd expect on a big budget movie, minus maybe a whole crew of cameras for more coverage. But for a one man operation it turned out really good. The rib recipe is pretty funny, too.

Thanks Evin! Yeah, Patrick really busted his hump on that those BTS featurettes, with the production diary nearly competing in length with the film itself! When it was said & done, he had over 20 hours of footage to work through from the four days, all the talent interviews, ADR sessions, etc.

hehe.....I just didn't want to make you feel old Norm! Oh BTW, the film that I was the DP on premiered tonight at the Hollywood Theatre to a packed crowd...it went really well! I'll have to get you a copy.

He, he. Sorry 'bout that. We even had family & CLOSE friends asking about coming ... and I even stressed to them cast & crew party. My wife's appalled I'm making family members pay for the DVD if they want to see the film, etc. LOL.

Hi Shaun, look forward to your thoughts!

Robert, yours went out the very next day, so you'll hopefully have it any day now.

Thank you for the orders folks! We've already made it through our first run of DVD's, and already have to make more. And to anyone who's questioned MySpace as a worthy advertising, I'd say it is. I've really not worked it hard for advertising yet, and have already rec'd quite a few sales through it, making it worthwhile for that reason alone, IMO.

So I just found the bloopers (that's right, easter eggs, folks...) and yeah, pretty much hilarious.

Just had to update this with some news from MySpace!

For those who've not seen it, I've moved SPARROW to its own MySpace now at www.myspace.com/sparrowthemovie

I've had several inquiries come in from folks seeing the trailer on them, two of which have been legit companies. Not sure where they'll go, but I'm investigating & we'll hope for the best.

One is Push Films, a distribution arm for Capital Arts, who've been involved with THE DEVIL'S REJECTS and more ... they were inquiring about international rights for SPARROW. When called to let them know it was only a short film, they weren't too deterred and asked if it had potential to be expanded into a feature. I stated it did, and they're asking to see the DVD/Film.

The latest was today, receiving an inquiry from www.newburycomics.com asking about reselling the DVD through their 27 store locations, and online! I'll call tomorrow to see what if anything can be pursued with this.

Cool stuff I just wanted to share!

Which is nice- especially since it has almost broke even in terms of hard cost. Now if more money can be generated to pay cast and crew ...... either way this was a great project to be a part of.
