Yikes! what's up with the weak battery mounts on the HVX?

I am experimenting with my redrock M2 and accidentally hit the battery, now one of the plastic "tabs" is all messed up. You'd think Panasonic would make those metal or something... better bring lots of gaffer tape to make sure the battery does not loosen up..anybody run into a similar problem? If I can get the part from panasonic, I'll fix this myself...

If these fragile battery mounts break off past the warranty period, will Panasonic repair them under the warranty?

If this is a design defect, it seems reasonable to have Panasonic cover it.

It seems that it is counterproductive to be careful as we are if the warranty period runs out and something happens.

Otherwise, can we send in our cams to have them replaced before they break?
