Hey Guys,

Thanks for all the support guys. We are working on releasing a Special Edition BROKEN DVD for the holidays so keep your eyes out.

While we are working on BROKEN the feature and a few other projects, I found some time to produce a killer documentary called "Behind Forgotten Eyes" Narrated by LOST's Yonn-jin Kim. Check out the trailer on the website: http://www.behindforgotteneyes.com

Completely shot on the DVX 100a and edited/color corrected on Final Cut Pro 5. Let us know what you think of the trailer. We are working a a newer one but the one we have up gives you an idea. FYI: I did not edit the trailer ; )

Thanks again for all the good wishes. The DVX User community ROCKS!!!

Yes, I liked the execution of this trailer. Such a heavy topic, so the rapid editing balances it and makes you interested in it. The only cut that causes confusion is right at the beginning, when the document narration male speak starts and it shows a woman speaking. Other than that, I really liked the editing and layering this trailer uses. What program was used for those sweeps? I'm in a process of doing few documentaries myself, and I was thinking about exactly this sort of look this doc trailer has. What other programs were used besides FCP?
The effect in the end where the cam zooms out and the women are "erased" from the picture is very good, and it really tells you something.

Yea I know about this incident. I heard some horrible stories about this. Sad how they dont apologize or compensate the victims.
At least the US apologized about Manzanar and payed for some of the damages although more could have been done.

My Japanese friends feel bad about it, but what can they do? they are just starving musicians. lol

Gj thus far "Broken guys" lol.

Good to see you guys are trucking forward.... Still looking forward to the feature.

As for "Behind Forgotten Eyes", this exact topic has been covered before in this exact fashion. The most recent one that I watched was on National Geo. if I remember right.

i was animating stuff for it. but time and other oppertunities pulled me away from the project. i regret doing that... its a great story.

its a very good topic for a documentary.... and will raise a lot of issues... wishing you all the best
