Can Final Cut edit DVC-PRO 50?

Looking at the easy set ups in FCP there is not one for DVC-PRO 50. Is FCP capable of editing it?

FCP is totally resolution independent so it can handle anything you want. Use the DV/DVCPRO easy set up. DVCPRO 50 is just DVCPRO with twice the data rate (and, as a result, more resolution, color space, etc)

So as there is no DVCPRO 50 easy set up, only DVCPRO so do you use that and then set the sequence settings to DVCPRO 50?

There is no DVCPRO 50 Easy Setup, but if you go into Audio/Video settings, or directly change your sequence settings, you can choose from the multiple DV50 sequence settings. That's DVCPRO 50.

Yeah DVCPRO 50 is very easy to edit with on FCP... Great for corporate work!

Just make sure you check the little box that says "show all" in the easy set up window and you will have all available options to choose from
