So anyone seen it yet? I just talked to one guy and he said it looked incredibly like 35mm but with no grain.. and that he was surprised that there was no vissible noise at that resolution. This matches my experience watching it as well, but am interested to hear what other people think.

Just to clarify, Jarred (maybe I missed this from a previous thread), but you have already seen the footage prior to this IBC showing?

I just saw it a couple of hours ago. Yes, VERY 35mm-like. No grain, no visible noise, incredible dynamic range.

No 35mm wobble or dust or scratches (!!) - in fact, by some way the best cinema picture I've seen short of Imax. An even bigger screen and there might have been some comparison on that front too...

They did it!

Yes I have been very fortunate. Breathtaking. Great review Toby.

I don't think I fully caught the Red bug until just this moment... Anyone looking to buy a lung, kidney, or part of a liver that has seen some better days?

I wonder how many Japanese camera execs are starting to get that queasy feeling in their stomachs? hmmmmm.
:-)

Just ONE review? Come one guys, share your reactions. Tell us how the crowd reacted. The hushed silence, the oohs and the aahs, the roar, the clapping, all in its gory details.

(Ok, maybe that sounded like Gladiator...)

Now I have to figure out how to get one of those Sony 4k projectors for my home theater setup. Always something, darn it.

I thought sony wasn't going to let red use their projector. How did they end up getting it up?
Red told them that if they didn't let them use it that they'd make there own... better... and cheaper lol (j/k)
