"Sparrow" on DVD - OFFICIAL THREAD - <DVD AVAILABLE>

HA! I did until about 8am this morning ... I just cleared out everything to do with SPARROW & archived some master items, but nothing from the DVD backgrounds as I didn't plan to ever have to do them again.

Shoot, wish I'd waited another day, but I REALLY needed the space. That project alone was taking about 200+ GB on my system.

Ah, too much work if you're just going to buy the thing anyway. Or just ask others that have bought it what they think of the navigation, menus, transition clips, etc.

Just received mine in the mail today, but I won't have time to get into it until after this weekend...HorrorFest shoot.

I'm looking forward to that Rib Recipe.

That DVD looks really cool. I like the art you decided to go with. Has a really nice look to it. Patrick's been talkin about his whole sparrow BTS adventure for a while, and i really wanna see the film.

The BTS is awesome, I can tell you that much, lol.

Hurry up and buy the DVD, Cynic, so you can eat those words!

I think you did a great job on the menus, but I didn't see anything on there that you couldn't do in DVDSP, in Adobe's program (Encore?). The one feature that I think is rather slick- is the fit to disc option. I don't think that DVDSP or Adobe have that option in there. It would be a nice option to have ...

Nope, not in there on DVDSP, but if you are a master of the compressional arts the you are oooo-tayyy!

I don't believe Encore has that exact option, but if you set it to automatic transcode settings (assuming it doesn't want to immediately transcode on asset import), it will give you basically the same results.

Yeah, yeah, whatever folks. Just buy more DVD's, and support ISARA.com in the process!

Kidding. Not really. Ha, ha. Seriously, buy your copy now. Just playing with you. No really, do it now.

received!

received!

just got the movie Norm so I can't comment on it yet, but wow man, the DVD disc label print is higher quality than most Hollywood releases, that's impressive! well you got an "A" for outer presentation, that's for sure.

Ian, just a heads up that I'm going to drive to the post office & mail out your DVD from there vs. waiting for those customs envelopes to arrive at my office. Just rediculous it's taking this long, and I want you to hurry up & get that DVD, since you were among the first to pay.

Thanks again for the order, and you should have it soon.

Anyone else who's rec'd your DVD & had a chance to check it & the film out, we'd LOVE your feedback!

Just fired off ten more copies of SPARROW today in the mail (Ian, yours was among those I shipped out - look for it in a few days!), and have another order coming in for 10 DVD's, so I'm excited about the movement we're having with it.

We've had enough questions about reselling the DVD (mostly from Cast/Crew members), that we've set up bulk discounts with various tiers so they can buy up front, and resell them for whatever amount they'd like (plus it saves their friends S/H).

So there's a little tip for you folks that are in the process of getting your DVD's ready for sale, or already have them available. See how motivated your cast/crew is, offer them discounts on 10+, 25+, 50+ and 100+, and it's a nice way to increase the volume of DVD's moved, as well as for them to make some additional money.

Just noticed this went sticky -- put my order in earlier today. Looking forward to it!
