turning DVXuser into myspace ... you're right that is terrifying.

EDIT: after seeing Isaac's post ... I'll say something constructive.

Make yourself a banner that is within regulations (copy the dimensions of mine). Under EDIT SIGNATURE in your user profile you can permanently attach it to your signature so it will appear every time you post.

Then take the time to read people's threads and say something related to their film. I like your schticky character and no need to break it, but you need to ask questions about the other film or at least say can't wait to see it or something in your hokey (and fun) hell is coming for you way.

THEN ... you will have your add out there but have at least contributed the discussion even if it's just with "hi" or "can't wait", but questions and discussions of hard information are of course preferred. That's the spooky terrifying way it works here. :thumbsup:

hes smart, badpress is just as important and usefull as good press.

i still dont like the fact that he put one in my thread, but still..... hes smart. Now i wanna see his movie just to see if it s worth the aggrivations.

That's much more like it. Very cool.

Take a spin around like others have said. This place is about MUCH more than just the festival (although the festival is exciting). Lot's of amazing information and conversations...as well as some crappy ones, but it's a fun and informative place to be.

Now, when you go back to close the gates of hell...tell the devil I'm coming for him. :)

Press is press. exposure is exposure. IT doesnt matter how you get attention as long as its on you, your projects will do well cause someone will now pay attetnion. Even if its for 6* minutes.

Yeah I missed it too. I was in the hell of, you know, actually shooting a movie, instead of posting about one. Man, I got this whole thing backwards!

anyway, the "Resident Evil" looking guy in the screen has certainly peeked my sense of inquisition. yours is now a must wacth on the list.
