Or Bad Taste, or other splatter type movies, that clearly are more along the lines of comedy than horror? Are those acceptable?

Very acceptable. Comedy horror is going to show up in the contest, believe that.

I'm doing a comedy/horror called VROOM!. Not much gore or splatter, but there will be a girl in a bikini.

Yeah. looking at the previous contests. I say there is a very strong chance that there will be more than a few horror comedies. Even some of the ones that where mean to be serious sometimes turn out to be funny as well. I think the variety is what makes it interesting.
