About portable shots using Andromeda, one can use the same techniques that are used in professional movie shoots where the camera is usually tethered by one or more cables. There is no doubt that handling a tethered camera involves some special considerations when shooting in certain situations, but this is commonly the cost associated with higher quality uncompressed or film recordings. One day technology will reach the point where one can purchase cheap, light and low-power media that will record for hours at uncompressed HD data rates, but until then one has to work with hard disks, arrays and such. We are currently compiling a list of credits to be posted on our website. Up to date the system has been used in a wide range of productions from commericals and music videos, to award-winning independent films and effects shoots for hollywood films.
