I just figured out how to import P2 files into final cut pro. THANKS EVERYONE that assisted me. This is the most kick ass site anywhere, everyone is generous and helpfull. Now that i have burned my first footage i need to know if i have to have special setting on final cut to deal with this 720p footage?

What are general settings for FINAL CUT to deal with 720p footage.

I have until tomorrow (14 days) to see if the camera is tits. The footage
seems fine, but little things you notice pop up and by then you no longer
can return it.

And lastly do I really need to upgrade to os 10.4? I heard something that
that 10.3 has bugs? I purchased it but havent opened it. Should i return it
or is it worth it so i can upgrade to final cut 5.1?

thanks

The latest versions of FCP and Tiger make the most sense for the Panny.

Also, might want to keep it a little more professional.

best wishes

I'm still running Panther. I figured I should just wait for Leopard. Hard to justify the upgrade cost when something new is just around the corner.

I agree with you J.P. I bought panther and 2 month later Leopard came out and they sent me out that coopy for free.

Leopard looks like the real deal. With 64-bit support on the MacPros, I'm hopeful that FCP will be updated accordingly.
