I use mine to capture images onto tape.

heehee...

Honestly, I use mine for short narrative work mostly, and wedding videos on occasion, as well as some corporate commercials.

ha ha John hudson i like that answer ha ha. and i have seen brandon's Work and have say man your work is quite nice.

Yeah, while sure, the dvx is nice for music videos I use mine for narrative films. And man-o-man, its good at capturing my stories and the stories of the thousand other members on this site. What do you use yours for xep5k?

thats awsome arhartman! i use mine for short films (while in film school) and im doing a big horror film project Jan. 07 thanks for asking =)

no prob. And I am glad you too are using it for great things. Keep everyone posted about your project once you begin. We all would like to see it. Ask Brandon Rice and about his project Suggler's Ransom.

We just started using my DVX for a live video feed for our bands MultiMedia concerts. (The live feed is mixed with pre-recorded footage and projected on a screen behind the group.) We have always used the DVX for the prerecorded material because we like the look of 24PA. But have been using a Sony 150 for the live feed because we were not sure the DVX would handle the lighting conditions. Boy were we wrong. The DVX kicked butt! I fell in love with the camera all over again! Now the live shots of the band look even better. God I love this camera! We should have been using it all along.

Porn, I mean, political documentaries. (They're so easily confused, you know, "Hookergate")

I'm an action film director and I use my DVX for action, horror as well as other narrative work. We shot a doc for a guy and a short actioner for him too. Made a little cash on that. We have a dramatic comedy in mind too in the future.

I use mine commonly for driver POV footage in forensic cases. We use a suction mount on the windshield so the camera is outside the car but at eye level of the driver. We'll then camera track the footage and add as 3D elements the oncoming truck, train or what have you that was involved in the collision. The DVX is light enough for the mount and shoots a clean image that tracks pretty well.
