Which movies were shot digitally?

Superman was HD.

City of God was a combo of 16 and 35.

The best looking hd to film transfer I've seen is Wolf Creek.

28 Days Later is the other great example of a good looking dv to film transfer, but it utilized the grittiness as part of the style of the story.

Collateral and Miami Vice are impressive looking films, but in my opinion they have less of a cinematic feel and look more "real life".

Great use of the dvx - It's Always Sunny in Philedelphia. Dvx works great for tv!

as for 28 days later, shot on an XL1 with an orgasmic lens, which I think makes the dv to film transfer so amazing. Danny Boyle, you dog.

Only a very small portion of Full Frontal was shot with the XL1s, the rest was film.

Cheers

That statistic is backwards. Full Frontal was about 85% XL1s, the rest was 35mm film.
