720/24pn 8 Gb Card Shows 8 Minutes Record Time

This happens occasionally.

Newly initialized 8 Gb p2 card with 720/24pn and 8 minutes of time to record.

Sometimes, I have to turn the cam on and off a couple of times to get the card to show correct time remaining.

Are others experiencing this?

Any solutions?
 
Never seen that. Do you have the frame rate set to 60fps (but not saved in your scene file)? If you did that then it would explain the behavior; 720/24pn @ 60fps would give you 1 minute per gig, then when you turn it off and back on it reloads from memory and so sets it at the default frame rate...
