FX1 with adapter? what to do? plus accesories

mmm yeah I should wait
BUT I'm impatient once I head down a path
AND I'm keen to start dealing with new lenses and learning how to shot with a small depth of field
It will be my training to then move onto larger cameras (such as RED hopefully) next year.

mmmm redrock, SGpro, Brevis???? aaaaahhhhhhhh

Also have it in mind that Dans' adapter is coming out soon and it is suposed to be awesome. The G35 might also make a surprise aperance when people least expect (I'm sure that when it comes back it'll blow peoples' minds). Right now I have the Brevis35 and intend to keep it until these 2 majors players are back on the game. I'm still waiting to see the impact that Denniss' (the brevis inventor) diffusor changes will cause on the adapter. The brevis is a good adapter (very very little light loss, no barrel distortion, no color aberration, no grain, it's a totaly portable solution). The only thing that I think could be improved it's the latitude increase (which might happen with the changes Dennis is making on the diffuser). Once again I must repeat that this is MY personal taste. There's A LOT of people who really don't care about latitude increase.

You can check out some extreme run&gun footage (shot in 15minutes) from the FX1 http://www.savefile.com/projects.php?pid=732453 Be sure to download the color corrected version.

We are currently testing based on the prototype diffusers we just had made (and no, it wasn't cheap). I guarantee that the lovers of the G35 look will be very happy with the results. Don't be too surprised if we actually end up with a total of three diffuser options out of this :-)

What will we end up with? A near perfect film match, HD compatible, from F1.4 to F22. You will pick your desired grain/sharpness and light loss for whatever f stop you're shooting at. It's taking me about 3 minutes to perform a swap...with 0 alignment/setup issues after doing so.

For those of you who viewed my earlier proof of concept footage, you're in for a real treat.

yea I think as of yet the brevis is still #1 on my list for now but im just still just shopping around for now. especially since I dont exactly have the cash for this yet. ha. I actually like some of the m2 footage too but that thing is just too big for my needs. I just want to borrow all the adapters for a day lol.

A friend lent me the brevis today. Wondering how it will look compared to my m2. I'm kinda excited.!!!

Man, it would be awesome if you could do some side by side tests, shooting the exact same thing under the exact same conditions. It's never been done.

Depends on how long i can hang on to it. I'll try my best.

also:

Having a little problem: i have a zeiss and canon eos mount on my m2. the brevis is a nikon. So at best i cant test the same lenses on both. :(

look forward to hearing how you go if you can find a solution

Good luck!!!!!!!!

doh' ! yea that sucks but I look foward to your comparison tests. Thanks a bunch in advance dee!

ok, me and aram shot some stuff with my fx1 and the brevis and m2. I have to say both are friggin great. i noticed with the m2, u have to zoom more so u may notice the difference. Plus at 1.4 the dof was smaller on the m2. the brevis was wider with a smoother falloff.

with the m2 we used a zeiss 1.4

and the brevis a nikon 1.4
