"Intrusion" 2 minute horror short

Any mac user that doesn't go out and get Flip4Mac to watch this short immediately is missing out. That was awesome. I genuinely jumped when he showed up in the kitchen. Great work!

You aren't planning to do a horrorfest short, are you? Because you definitely should.

If you want more people to watch, I'd suggest making a quicktime version available.

Just an idea.

Whoa my man--

That was pretty fuxing freaky.

Please, join us for Horror_Fest if you have the time.

What the HELL was that at the end?!?!?!?!

Nice! I thoroughly enjoyed that short.

My guess is the "thing" at the end was an alien, in regards to someone else's question on that.

Very creepy and put together very well.

Yeah, that was good. Pretty creepy. The only part that I was wondering about was when it went silent about 2/3 to 3/4 of the way through.

thanks for your comments! Nice to hear people thought it was creepy

but obviously not creepy enough to be shorlisted :-)

the part where it goes quiet isnt actually silent, if you have your sub on there is a big rumble. I took the decision to remove all other sound at that point to heighten the moment. thats my fave bit!

Darkline-

A lot of talent here. I was very drawn in, worried, and concerned for the main character. I would say it was successful.

I liked the lighting a lot. Do you have any production photos?

thanks korimickster

It was done so quickly that there wasnt really any time to take any procuction photos. Bascially the whole thing was lit with a few pin spot hallogen lights on dimmers and a few 800W tungsten lights. 800W tungsten was used in the kitchen to create the backlight and the same coming in through the front window downstairs. I think also it may have been used to create the wall shadow too.

As hor Horrorfest - if I had known I would have just submitted this! but it's too late for that now. If I get the time I'd love to make another one.

I feel a 35mm adapter purchase coming on.
