Shooting on HVX soon? Can I visit your set?

I wanted to know if anyone out there was currently shooting or planning to shoot a project in the near future using their HVX, and if so, I wanted to know if I could come watch how the work flow goes for about 20 minutes to an hour.

I promise not to get in the way of shooting, I'll tell everyone I'm your assistant or bookie or long lost cousin or whatever... I just want to see it all in action.

I live in Los Angeles and am available pretty much at your convenience.
If anyone would be so kind as to take me under their wing for 20-60 minutes for one day, I would very much appreciate it.

I am planning on shooting my own project in October and wanted to see first hand how these puzzle pieces should (ideally) fit together.

Please drop me an email. Thank you all so much!

Its so hard to say how shoots go together, LOL, i dont know about everyone else, but its usually a little hectic if things dont go as planned. But i think you have the right approach by visiting a set, because what i think it will do for you is take the nerves (not all of them, but some) away from your guts a little bit.

I was nervous on my first shoot a long time ago, and things werent going as planned and some stuff was jimmy rigged, and other un expected things happen, but thats part of the production, its what makes for good stories in the end, and the bigger productions get, the more could go wrong, but i have learned to live without any stress , EVER, in my life and i just go with the flow and am usually calming everyone else down.

But ya, im in San Francisco, or i would definatly invite you to come and help, we can use all the help in the world, but good luck on your search. Im sure youll enjoy it and there will be alot of "OOOHH thats how they do that, thats simple " and youll see the wonders of gaffers tape! :)

you know what that sounds like a good idea digibody - i just purchased the hvx200 and am in the ny/nj area and if anyone out there would like a helping hand pls pm me or email and let me know when and where to meet at - i am very interested in seeing how filming comes together

I have lots of shoots going on, usually in the Los Angeles or Ventura area. My last "big" film (well, the last big one I self-produced, anyway) has wrapped, but I have a few decent sized music videos coming up that would probably be very appropriate for what you're thinking about. I wouldn't mind you visiting the set at all - send me a PM and I can give you information. Cheers!
