Hope this is not double-posts as I had some problems with server interruption when trying to post the first time.
Was in NY yesterday (6/28) and noticed a major production shoot at Broadway and Park Row in lower Manhattan. First thing I noticed was the fake snow and then the Panavision camera. While the sidewalk lookie-loos (LA term) were scanning for star talent (I don't even recognize stars when I bump into them), I was looking for production gear. Next to the Panavision camera on dolly was a guy shooting an HVX on a monopod. I got his attention between takes, but didn't catch his name. Tells me that this is a feature shoot and the HVX footage will be intercut with the 35mm footage. By the way, he said they are dumping P2 to hard drive for editing in FCP.
