"Cuts" a short about emo cutting

How exactly did you key in the eye colors? It looks very nicely done.

Oh... and what mic did you use if you don't mind me asking?

I keyed the color in after effects by duplicating the original layer, selecting "color" as the mode then i used the pen tool to create a mask around her eye and applied an orange tint with tint cc. As for the mic, we made this film in about.... 1min flat, i wasnt even planning on making a film, so it was just onboard standard dvx mic. :)

notice what i said in the beggining. And who are you to tell me i should be ashamed. I understand and respect your "not funny at all" opinion, but TELLING me i should be ashamed i dont... You have the right to your opinion, but you do not have the right to ASSERT your opinion onto me. I dont feel like I should be ashamed, therefore dont try to assert that on me, and dont tell me what to do with my dvx, ok fidel?

i didn't think it was funny either, what i do find funny is that you rag on their tight pants and style and then you say this.

and since when has emo become a word that can describe anyone who isn't mainstream... i hear ppl calling the indie style emo all the time... idiots.
 
eh... IMO the only thing worse than 'emos' are people who go out of their way to pick on them.... its like well if they suck, let them suck. Lately its become 'cool' to hate emos. LOL

but i'm all for short films so one thumb up and one thumb down. :D
 
lol, just for the record, i do respect people's opinions in saying it was "stupid" or "tasteless" or "offensive"... you are allowed to have an opinion. I just went off on that one dude because he shouldent tell me how I should feel. heh

how do you think i should contact HH, i dont have a friend who knows one of em, but hes on tour and i think HH is too. I guess ill just drop it in thier myspace. lol
 
HAHAHHA. I love it.

So, what is up with the cropping? It may be intentional, but for some reason I caught my eye so I figured it was a mistake.
 
I always crop to 2.35:1.

In the beggining i wanted it to look cinamatic, but then when the "reality check" happens (the girl getting beat) i just figured i should go back to 4:3 for a more "real life" type of look.
 
I blame myspace on the growing trend of emo people. Funny short, especially the shower guy. The uprez looks pretty decent.
 
I guess this forum is a real eye opener - now we know who the emos are! all those who protested the negativity thrown at emos... Well anyway its darned good for '1 min flat'. Great work on the fly. Now i just need to find out how to crop video to 2.35:1 on adobe premiere...Any help?

i would have to agree with you there. lol. Either that or they just congragated on myspace.com. hah
