I wonder if there would be some way to use the excess resolution in a down-rezzed application for noise reduction. Like, record all 4K pixels but average adjacent pixels in downrez.
Why? Light is your magical key to sculpting your images, maybe instead come with a book that shows you how to use light.
My eyes don't enjoy looking at things in low light anyhow, who does?
You don´t like low light? Never seen that candleligth atmosphere with those smooth reflections on her skin in that dark bar? Knowing that there isn`t any camera with enough sensitivity to film it? I can imagine a lot of scenes where I wished to have a VERY sensitive camera.
Hmmm.....Interesting....Have you ever seen the movie Collateral with Tom Cruise and Jamie Foxx? Long story short director..Michael Mann shot most of Collateral, on the Sony F900, inpart Because the shots, of the L.A skyline at night, and other low light shots would have not been possible on film....Don't even start in on me..Not saying digital is better then film. However I would point out...Most of us here are digital cinematographer's or work on digital projects of one kind or an other...Point being...We should embrace the media we work in... I would love a camera that could shot in low light situations with little noise
I want it to be able to shoot night vision with AstroScope. No Joke.
There is no reason why I shouldn't be able to do this.
RED should test it to make sure it works well before I go out and buy an AstroScope. I want to know it works for sure before I buy it. The mounts will have to work.
