Thanks, Jack. And congratulations! Bone Hand was an awesome concept and you executed it superbly.

And thanks to Larry R. for reposting his mirror link to all the films.

*applauds for Jack* Very good Job! Congratulations!!:)
Thanks Larry!

I really want to tell the people involved what place we got out of the 25, and am wondering what the Estimated Time of Arrival is on the place list.

Thank you all for the hard work you put into this festival. It made our first try fun.

It's my fault.

Jarred's still waiting for my ballot.

No problem...you should just get into the habit of using the Excel template instead of writing everything in caligraphy on parchment paper...

I always wondered why it takes so long for you to get stuff in Jack....but I understand now. It must be very difficult to do anything with that shrivled up, deformed hand. :)

sorry for that mixup.. won for best screenplay. Was no score prize, although the scores where frickin incredible this time around.

so.... who won best score then? (understanding there was no prize for it) (which one got the most votes?)

*edit*... Now i'm really confused. I thought there was a place on the ballet for score? Did I get an early ballot or something? (even though I never turned it in.)

There is an entry for score...but it only figures into the overall. They aren't using it as a "category"...at least that's how I understand it.

Even if there's not a prize for score, there's no reason not to list a placement. It would seem like a slap in the face to the composers that worked so hard on this.

If it's a real time consuming chore, then I'll gladly take the time & tally up all the votes for each film to list what placed highest in lighting, camera, score, etc.

Since this fest was CLEARLY not about the prizes, as none were never announced, I think it's safe to say that the rankings for everything is important to about 90% or more of the folks that entered, while others sat this one out.

I agree. I would like to see top scores for all categories. Thanks Envision for stepping up for this. I will help if need be as well. I know am I being a bit impatient, but is the Ranking list for all the films in herofest going to be posted? I just want to be able to let my team know when they will be able to see how we did.

Hey! Where can I download the movies? I know its late but I dont want to miss them! I couldnt find any link :(

Greets...

Congrats to all and yes scores should be mentioned, for all the reasons above. These composers burn the midnight oil just as much as any other participant and should be recognized.

John Williams was guest director for the New York Philharmonic a couple of months ago. Martin Scorcese and Steven Speilberg introduced some films one of which was played with only sound effects and dialogue and then replayed to with the Philharmonic playing along. The point was to illustrate how the music carried the scene.

Some of the greatest 'actors' in a couple of these productions, were the composers...

Hope they'll get a mention.

Also, are the links gone? That's it until the DVD?

Oh, and THANK YOU JDS for letting me participate in your production!!!
