Horror Fest

Its all about how much you try to do... if its too much it'll feel rushed... if its not enough it'll make the audience feel ripped off.

On the bandwith side of thigns If your stuck for space you can host them at a server I have. Just saying if you need the extra space to help out or something.

sorry about spelling, its lateish and ive had 6 bottles of alchol...yes im a lightweight

thanks.. i have a feeling we will need it :)

I like the 6 min.
1min set up
1 min resolution
4 min middle act

Zombie fest required nothing in terms of creating the world. All of the mythology is part of everyone's pop lexicon and we knew all the variations ... you can get it from a chemical spill, from being bitten by someone that already is a zombie, they usually move slow, and are hard but not impossible to kill.

With scifi - a genre based on creating the entire world from scratch, a little more set up was required, and unless your hero was very traditional, the same could be said of hero fest to a lesser extent.

Horror is a completey open genre and may or may not require much set up (slasher - no, invasion of the body snatcher - maybe). But I like the six because I feel it lets you do 30% more while making the films feel 60% less rushed.

I thought I was Speilberg before :)

wise words from the consumate professional.

the wisest words would be write an approriate story for the time length ... but I like the six ... even though if I do horror fest, it's gonna be a much simpler story.

i think one of, if not the best, example on the forum of a perfectly structured / scaled story for these mini films was Texas Fortune.

Simple conflict with a good punchline / reversal at the end.
