Has anyone done prints of HVX stills?

The HVX has its two Megapixels resolution, and this should be enough for decent small prints. Remember, digital still cameras with this resolution once cost a lot, and they did not have three sensors. And the HVX can shoot at a rate of up to thirty pictures a second in full resolution, for almost indefinite time! A real pro-pro sports-fotographer tool with thirteen times zoom!

At 200 pixels/inch you can get a print almost 10 inches wide out of an Epson printer. The only objection I'd have is that video tends to have rather heavy sharpening applied. If you turn the sharpening feature down or off, you can then sharpen the still image in post and get much better results.

I'd think the same principle could be applied in video as well, although the rendering would take some time.

Overall, I'm very impressed with what this camera can do and how the images look. While the resolution could be better, the color rendition and depth is wonderful.

I have had nothing but glorious prints from the HVX in the manual I am making for my series on filmmaking. The book uses samples from the HVX to illustrate lighting principles. Chock full of HVX shots and they look great. As long as the exposure was there on the set, they look great. :)
