"Numb" Short FILM - mini35

This was great...loved the look and camerawork. What lenses and lights were you using for EXT night scenes like this? I find the Mini35 so slow in low light already!

Fukking loved it.

Audio sounded great, the look was great, I didn't mind the noise at all compared to the grabs you posted awhile back. Acting was superb, also...

I almost wanted her to say "mommy" towards the end. It would have sent shivers. BUT... it would have thrown off the loop - I think it would have been worth it.

Dude, get your website up and running... soon has come and gone, my friend.

I love it!

The acting and the lines got me so involved.
And it just looks so good, great editing and camerawork.

Great short.

Color tone, cinematography, performace...all exceptional. Really really fantastic...

The script side was also good, although I found the themes a tad contrived (the pill popping and all that)...a bit much.,..but itkind of worked in the larger scheme of things..

But that's just a nitpick...great job!

cool little short is a major understatement!
great work man, really kept me going. nice dimension to the content that her voice is at contant tone, dry, uneventful, emotionless. Good to see depth in terms of content. so great directing. i agree with everyone else about the camera work, cc, editing. all top notch man! really like seeing work like this over that of crummy horror shorts. my cup of tea!
reminds me of a short i saw called Life Against Memory. It was supurb!

thanks for posting it

That was amazing! I loved the colors you used. There seemed to be a sort of silver green undertone to most scenes. Which program did you use for this? What lighting did you use for the telephone scenes? I really want to learn from this since I love shooting night scenes more than daytime anyway.

I guess I'm the odd man out thinking it's a lot of talking -- too much talking to keep my interest.

It sure looks nice, though :)

This looked amazing. Nicely shot, directed acted and edited. What was your budget and how much was the rental of the mini-35 and the cinelens package? Also, would REALLY like to know your CC workflow. You got a GREAT look going there, please share.

kudos-

You're not the only one. Looked nice, but the talking.

Nice stuff ya got going on here, regardless.

raddrew everyone on here wants you to tell them your settings...
since you won't let the secrets out ill do it for ya.

first: you set your iris to level "rad"
next: you set your master ped to "drew"
finally: you learn how to use the camera yourself.
