Barry...Can we have the BOOK now?

Just finished viewing the Vasst HVX-200 DVD and was very disappointed. It is just an overview of the camera, HVX menu system and p2 cards. Should have saved my money! You can get the same information from the manuel. Barry...Please get us that book. Would love to have in-depth information on my little camera and I'm sure it will save me a lot of time through trial and error.

Gary's DVD, I thought, was a good basic introduction to the menus and the basic operation of the cam for those unfamiliar. But I do agree that it does not have the depth that most of this board is looking for.

I'm certain that Barry's will take a much more involved and detailed look at the cam.

I also hope it's expected soon so we all can make Mr. Green a millionaire.

:-)

I got the vasst book too. I felt ripped off. The dvd was 35 minutes long and felt as if the guy got his hands on a hvx manual and read it to the camera. I could have made that dvd myself. The so-called bonus footage was so short, if you blinked you'd miss it. Barry, I hope a ghost comes to you in the middle of the night and says in a scarry voice . . . "Baaarrrryy, Baaarrrryyy, have merrrrcccy on the suckers who were ripped off by the vasst video and give them a diiiiiiiscounted priiiiice on youuuuur booook.

Guys, I wish it was out as much as you do! Trust me! :)

There are elements that are out of my control right now, mainly having to do with getting the images all to print properly in CMYK color (the HVX book is printed in full color throughout) but I'm really, really, really expecting to have the final draft in the next day or three. The text is basically locked, it's all down to technicals of getting it laid out and printing properly. As soon as that's done I can start the production run.

Barry,
I want to be a charter member of the Barry Green "book club". So that being stated, as soon as it is done, I will paypal a payment with overnight shipping. thanks,
steve

Barry, will the DVD be ready to go at the same time?

Barry...

In my previous life my specialty was color management, prepress and critical color work. If you need a hand I'd be glad to help out.

Barry, what are you singing?

"I've Got So Much to Give" and "Don't Make Me Wait Too Long". Oh wait, those are songs by Barry White, not Barry Green. :)

Okay, how about "Stayin' Alive" and "Night Fever". Oh, that's the Bee Gees, not our BG (Barry Green). :Drogar-BigGrin(DBG)

What are you singing, Barry?

How about a 15k video with you singing any one of those songs?!! The 10k video was funny, but some might say it was a copout.

The HVX Book is going to include a CD, not a DVD. It will be offered as one package.

Barry, I've been pretty busy with the film pre production, did I miss some news about the DVD? Or are you not doing one now?

David

Yes, I'm waiting for the 200A and 200B to be released before I finish the book. I don't want it to be out-of-date as soon as it's released, you know.

:)

Okay, seriously, tonight is supposed to be the final pass through the graphic design. Then it gets sent to the printer. I'm aiming for having it available around the middle of the month, maybe the third week.
