I had heard B&H was out of the promo.
$300 more than the special, but I am shooting tonight.
AVS has a good reputation and good service, also no tax if you live in NYC.
 
i tried to call today but b and h closes at 2 on friday... I guess sunday is my only option. Out of the promo? bastards...
 
nope, just the camera back and 4gb p2 card. it came to 5780 give or take a couple. sweetness.
 
The NAB deal ends today. Even if they're out of cameras they can still give you the deal on back order to get it if you want. Mine shipped on Friday.
 
Order Friday and got my tracking number that it is in transit.. The guy said it took be up to 6 weeks before it ships, NOW and I'll have it by friday

I got the B&H deal. The web site said $5995 but the salesman on the phone gave it to me for $5744. Awesome! Spent 2 hours reading the manual and I figure I have at least another 2 to go. Great camera!

I'm not sure if this deal is still in place. I bought two HVX 200's on the trade show floor at NAB from Sammy's Camera the last day of the show for $5100.00 each. They told me it was going to be a three week wait but they arrived in just six days.This was just for the complete camera kit, no P2 cards.

People, if you are gonna spend 5000$ on a camera, don't penny pinch and try to save a few hundred bucks.... because you gonna get screwed... buy from Panasonic authorized dealers and from reputable dealers like B&H. Don't support shady ass places like the above, they're gonna take your money and leave you with your d*ck in your hand. Be wise! "there's a sucker born every minute" don't be one of them! And people need to quit posting "where can I buy the hvx200 for cheapest?".... you get what you pay for and if you are dumb enough to deal with the shady dealers, you gonna get what you deserve for being a cheap bastard...
 
I got one hell of a deal at Full compass. Very reputable. Bought lots from them over the years and always had great service and stuff. Cost was $5083.95 or something very close to that. I got the camera and 2 4 gig P2 cards for $6300 and change. Jason at ext 1153 is the man.

They don't have any in stock today, but they are getting a shipment in early june and have cameras available from that.
