DVX100b for $1700- legit?

One other question: can I buy a warranty from a store I didn't buy the camera from? My guess is no, but if anyone knows I would appreciate it.

Look at these terms & conditions I just found on the site. I will definatly not purchase from them after reading the reviews and seeing this:

1. We reserve the right to limit quantities.

2. Pictures are for illustration purposes only.

3. We are not responsible for typographical errors.

4. Due to the daily fluctuations of price in the electronics industry we do not offer any type of price protection whatsoever.

5. Pricing and availability are subject to change without notice. <--(waaaaa?!)

6. Prices are for mail order only, retail prices will vary.

7. For Alaska, Hawaii, and Puerto-Rico we can ONLY ship 2 day or Next Day Delivery.

8. Prices and stock status on our website is the most current and updated and not what is printed across the web. The reason being most sites or search engines that pickup our
data feed are at least 24 hours behind

9. USA Photo Nation is NOT responsible for lost, delayed or damaged packages.

10. USA Photo Nation is not responsible for manufacturer rebates. All rebates will go through the manufacturer and USA Photo Nation shall not be held responsible if the manufacturer will not honor their rebate.

The cheapest places with VALID US warranties are going to be around $3k after rebates. When it comes to high-tech it is best to spend a little extra to get full warranty and support. I have a friend who got a grey market XLH1 for $8100 and now Canon wont cover the warranty repair on the viewfinder... as they shouldnt...

ash =o)
